Who we are

A General Contractor Who Stays on the Job.

Elevation is a residential general contractor working across metro Atlanta, North Georgia and the Chattanooga region. We take on remodeling, renovations and custom home improvement projects, and we manage the whole thing rather than handing you a list of subcontractors to chase.

On a larger project the building is rarely the hard part. The hard part is sequencing, knowing what has to happen before something else can, and keeping one person accountable when a trade does not show up. That is the job of a general contractor, and it is the difference between a project that moves and one that stalls at 60%.

What we take on

Residential Construction and Remodeling.

Projects large enough to need managing, in homes people are still living in.

01

Residential Remodeling

Changing how a space is laid out and what it does, rather than refinishing what is already there. Walls, openings and the systems behind them, planned before anything gets opened up.

02

Home Renovations

Bringing existing space back up to standard. Older homes rarely give up their surprises until the work starts, so we build the likely ones into the scope instead of discovering them with you.

03

Custom Home Improvement Projects

The work that does not fit a category. If you can describe what you want the house to do, we will tell you whether it can be built, what it involves, and what it costs.

How a project is run

The Part Most People Are Actually Worried About.

Almost nobody calls a contractor worried about whether the carpentry will be good. They call worried about the other things, and those are the things worth being clear about up front:

Start the conversation

Tell Us What You Are Planning.

Homeowners often hold off calling because they are not sure their project is the kind of thing a contractor takes on, or because they have an idea rather than a plan. Both are fine. A good part of what we do early on is working out whether something is possible, what it would really involve, and whether it is worth doing.

Elevation also handles roofing, siding, gutters and bathrooms, so a project that crosses from the inside of the house to the outside stays with one company. That matters most on the jobs where the roof, the exterior and an interior space all end up being touched by the same work.

Common questions

Construction and Remodeling Questions.

The things homeowners ask before committing to a larger project.

What kinds of projects do you take on?

Residential remodeling, home renovations and custom home improvement projects, from a single room through to work that touches most of the house. If you are not sure whether yours fits, the quickest answer is to describe it to us. We would rather tell you it is not our line of work than take it on badly.

How does estimating work on a larger project?

Somebody comes out and looks at the space, because a renovation cannot be priced over the phone. From there you get a written scope setting out materials, sequence and cost. The estimate is free and custom to your house. Quote-based pricing is how all of our work is priced.

Do I need plans before I call you?

No. Plenty of projects start as a description of what somebody wants the house to do. Part of the early conversation is working out what that means structurally, what it involves, and whether it makes sense. Coming to us with a rough idea is normal.

What happens if something unexpected turns up mid-project?

On older homes it eventually does. Opening a wall can reveal water damage, old wiring or framing that was never right. When that happens we stop, show you what we have found, and tell you what it changes in cost and sequence before going any further. You will not find out from the invoice.

Will I be told where the project is?

Yes, and from the same person throughout. Clear communication from estimate through completion is one of the things this company was built on. You should always know what stage the work is at and what is happening next, without having to chase anybody for it.

Can you handle the outside of the house as well?

Yes. Elevation does roofing, siding, gutters and bathroom remodeling alongside general contracting. Keeping a project that spans the exterior and the interior with one company is the main reason the business is set up the way it is.
